Ben Fisch is the CEO and co-founder of Espresso Systems, which builds products for blockchain privacy and scalability, and will be joining the faculty at Yale University in July as co-director of the Yale Applied Cryptography Laboratory. He is broadly interested in problems related to privacy and verifiability in information systems, with a special attention on applications of cryptography to blockchains. His research focusses on various types of cryptographic proof systems, including zero-knowledge proofs, succinct proofs of computation, proofs of storage, and verifiable delay functions, and has had an impact on multiple open source projects including Filecoin, Ethereum, and Chia.
